Anger Management

Emotions are a vital part of who we are. It is healthy to feel, and yes, there will be times when we experience negative emotions. But that is no excuse to avoid feeling. Emotions are energy, as the saying goes: “E + motion = energy in motion.”

One vital aspect of energy is that it needs to flow. This is why the phrase “feel to heal” is so powerful.

Consider a pond that has been cut off from its stream. What often happens is stagnation, and the same can occur with our emotional energy.

Anger often arises after feelings of sadness, helplessness, or victimhood. In response, we generate the lightning-like energy of anger to reclaim a sense of power or to recover from sadness. However, this energy is short-lived and often leaves chaos in its wake, harming anyone or anything in its path.

We do not advocate destruction. Remember the cardinal rule: no harm to self and no harm to others. Our goal is to foster a more emotionally intelligent way of being.

From my experience, when you find yourself in a state of frantic fight-or-flight, it helps to think of anger as a boiling pot of water. The key is to turn off the heat and set the pot aside; eventually, the water will cool down.

Here are a few effective methods to cool down your emotional intensity in a healthy manner:

  1. Use a punching bag.
If you have access to boxing gear, such as a punching bag, use it for a minute and then check in with yourself. If there is still tension, continue exercising until you feel the energy subside.
  2. Use makeshift equipment.
If you don’t have access to boxing gear, you can substitute with a mattress or pillow for punching.
  3. Engage in physical activity.
Healthy exercise, like chopping wood, farm duties, or any physical activity within your capacity, can help release pent-up energy.
  4. Try the body tension release method.
Clench your hand into a fist and take a deep breath. As you exhale, slowly release the tension in your hand. Repeat this process, checking in with your emotional state after each cycle.

The key is to release adrenaline in a healthy way. If you don’t, the excess energy can manifest as prolonged stress that lingers for days.

Sometimes, stress is more psychological than physical. In these cases, healthy communication can be a crucial tool. When we are in a heated debate, we often revert to childlike behavior, losing the capacity to use our higher intelligence.

There is also a metaphysical science to behavior. In the future, humanity will explore a discipline called Mindology. This science will integrate psychology and mental energy studies to provide clear, unambiguous truths about human behavior and emotional well-being.

In summary, we have discussed methods to help you heal and release nervous energy, restoring balance and promoting mental health.
